Pleasant Wealth Ownership Offers Thought Leadership

At Pleasant Wealth, we’re excited to share something Liz has been carrying, shaping, and living into for years. Money Is a Mirror: What Your Relationship with Money Reflects About You will be released on Sep 25, 2026.

Liz wrote the book for The Responsible One: the person who plans ahead, follows through, carries more than their share, and has done so many things right. Responsibility can build a beautiful life. It can also become an identity, one that makes rest, spending, receiving, and even retirement feel harder than the numbers suggest.

That tension will be familiar to many Pleasant Wealth clients. A financial plan can answer, “Is the money available?” But it may not answer the question underneath it: “Am I allowed to use it?”

In Pleasant Wealth’s 3S approach, both questions belong in the plan. While most financial planners only address investments, Pleasant Wealth addresses three aspects of financial planning:

  • Soul: The life beneath the numbers. This includes your values, hopes, money stories, relationships, faith, and vision for what comes next.
  • Strategy: The holistic plan that turns what matters into clear choices about retirement income, spending, taxes, healthcare, protection, and legacy.
  • Stewardship: The thoughtful ongoing management of investment growth and risk reduction with adjustment as life changes.

Money Is a Mirror begins with Soul. It invites readers to notice what their financial choices may be reflecting about the way they relate to themselves, to other people, and to God. Strategy and Stewardship still matter deeply. But Liz has learned that even a technically sound plan can fall short when an old belief system is quietly making the decision.

“I wrote this book because I kept seeing the same posture of strict responsibility in people nearing retirement,” said Liz. “Even when the numbers showed differently, a stance of “I probably can’t retire. I probably shouldn’t take this trip. ” It was as if there was an internal voice saying “no” to enjoyment, even when the financial plan said yes.”

The book is not a list of financial formulas or quick fixes. It is a thoughtful, honest invitation to see yourself more clearly, make peace with the stories you have carried, and move toward Genuine Joy.

Money Is a Mirror will be available through Amazon. Readers can also continue the conversation through the free Companion Guide, with reflection questions and practical exercises for noticing the patterns behind their money choices.
